# Diplomatic Efforts Before the U.S. Elections and Rising Military Threats Between the Islamic Republic and the U.S.

Reports indicate negotiations by Qatari mediators with the Islamic Republic in Tehran, and warnings from the U.S. to its allies to prepare for a possible attack on the Islamic Republic after the U.S. elections. The leader of the Islamic Republic warned of an attack and emphasized that only the Islamic Republic will determine the timing and conditions for ending the war.

A few days before the U.S. midterm elections, Qatari mediators negotiated for more than twelve hours in Tehran with the Islamic Republic, with talks expected to continue in Doha. Media reported that the U.S. has warned its allies to be ready for a possible attack on the Islamic Republic starting Wednesday, November 4 (13 Aban).

The leader of the Islamic Republic, in a meeting with military commanders, warned that if the U.S. or Israel attack, the Islamic Republic will respond swiftly and strongly and only the Islamic Republic will set the timing and conditions to end the war.

There are also reports of disagreement among Donald Trump's close associates; the foreign and defense ministers are skeptical about reaching an agreement with the Islamic Republic, but some advisors want to continue negotiations. In the event of diplomatic failure, a military attack will likely be short and intense. These developments carry significant importance for regional stability.
