Effective October 25, 2026.
This page describes version 1.0 of the RoozGozin iPhone and iPad app. The website privacy policy separately describes features available on the website.
The app keeps bookmarks, saved article text, cached news and reading preferences on your device. It does not upload your bookmark list or synchronize it to a RoozGozin account. You can remove saved stories and clear cached reading data in the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local container; device backups are controlled by your Apple settings.
The app requests news, categories, language availability, article details, images, audio and available video editions over HTTPS. Requests to RoozGozin include the selected content language, category, sorting or pagination, the requested or currently playing story identifier, and any search text you choose to submit. The service and its infrastructure receive network metadata such as the IP address and request timing to respond and operate the service.
Our infrastructure retains operational error logs for failed requests. These logs can contain your IP address, request time, user-agent, and the full request path and query. This can reveal the story or media requested, the current listening story, and search text if a search request fails. These details can remain associated with the IP address. We use this information to diagnose failures, maintain service reliability and implement security measures, rather than for advertising or audience analytics. Do not enter sensitive personal information into news search.
Error logs rotate under the host's storage and log settings and currently have no fixed retention period. Contact us for questions about operational data or to request deletion of information you have provided.
When you view a story image, its image host may receive a request and your network metadata. When you follow an original source or other external link, that website's own privacy practices apply. Shared links are passed to the sharing destination you select through iOS.
Version 1.0 does not require a reader account, offer comments or news submissions, or request access to contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone. It includes no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDK. The app does not send separate reading, bookmark or playback analytics events; the operational error logs described above can still reveal requested content. Visiting the RoozGozin website in a browser is covered by its separate website policy and consent settings.
RoozGozin uses external AI services on its server to assist with published news selection, writing, translation and narration. The native app reads already published material. It does not send your bookmark list, voice, photos or device files to an AI service, and it does not provide a user chat or prompt-submission feature.
When you choose to email support, your mail provider sends the information you include. Avoid passwords, API keys or sensitive personal data. For privacy questions, data requests, technical help or a news correction, contact seltzer.wisdom7h@icloud.com.
